Da die diesem Artikel zugrundeliegende Linuxdistribution schon seit 30.4.2007 aus dem offiziellen Support seitens Novell ausgeschieden ist, liegt dieser Artikel nur noch zu Archivzwecken und für User die auf eben diese Version angewiesen sind hier. Ein Update auf eine zumindest noch im offiziellen Support befindliche Distribution wird dringendst angeraten. |

Due to limited space on our CD media, a certain part of the software packages of SUSE LINUX 9.3 Professional is only on DVD 1 of our media. If you are a customer without a working DVD drive and if you wish to install software which is only on the DVD, we provide all additional packages for download.
These addon software package set contains:
- all 64-bit packages
- many 32-bit developer packages
- additional 32-bit server packages

For convenient search and installation, you can add the FTP path as installation source in YaST:
- Start YaST and in the "Software" group the module "Change installation source".
- Click on "Add" and choose "FTP"
- Add the name of the FTP mirror of your choice in this shape:
ftp.gwdg.de
- Add the path to the directory where the folders media.1 and suse are located, e.g.:
/pub/suse/i386/9.3/
- Click on "Finish"
After that, once the software installer module is started, all packages from the FTP source will be found and available for installation.
Additional note: The complete SUSE Linux 9.3 FTP distribution is being worked on and will be made available in this directory.
